Traditional Officer Candidate School
Traditional OCS (T-OCS) is an 18 month, part-time, course of instruction taught in lieu of drill weekends and the two-week annual training. T-OCS begins every June and the commisioning ceremony follows 18 months after.
- Possess an Interim Secret or Final Secret Clearance Proof of submission will allow enrollment
- Original college transcript. Must have at least 60 hours from an accredited college to enroll. 90 hours are needed for commissioning
- Chapter 2 , commissioning physical must be completed and approved prior to phase I, T-OCS
- Must be a US Citizen or have applied for citizenship
- Minimum of 18 yrs old to enter the program (Must be able to complete the chosen program and commission prior to reaching age 42 there are no exceptions to age of 42).
- Prior Service (PS): may exceed the 35th birthday enlistement age based on prior active or reserve service time computation.
- ASVAB, General Technical score of 110 or greater (Re-testing available)
- Have completed BCT or WTC and AIT
- Minimum of 70 points on each event on the Army Physical Fitness Test Score
- Be approved and recommended by your commander
- Meet mental, physical and moral requirements
*All medical and moral waivers must be approved before start of any course
