IPAP Packet Guidelines

To begin this process, an academic worksheet must be filled out by the applicant and submitted with original transcripts (cannot say “issued to student”) to the Texas AMEDD Recruiting Team:

Texas Army National Guard
Recruiting & Retention
ATTN: AMEDD – CPT Chol Chong
PO Box 5218
Austin, TX 78763-5218

The transcripts and academic worksheet will then be processed and forwarded by the Texas AMEDD Recruiting Team for final evaluation. We are notified within 45 days if the transcripts are accepted by the University of Nebraska for packet processing, and we will notify the applicant immediately of the results.

Applicant packets will only be considered for the state board if the following processes are met:

1. Academic worksheet and transcripts are sent directly to the Texas AMEDD Recruiting Team at least 60 days prior to the state board.

Any transcripts sent directly to NGB or the University of Nebraska will be returned immediately to Texas without review and the applicant will be denied from applying again for IPAP for a minimum of six (6) months.

2. Packets must be reviewed/approved through the state board (three times a year) prior to submission to the federal board (three times a year). Any packet not accepted by the state board will be sent back to the applicant with justification and recommendations for improvement.

Any packet submitted directly to the federal board without approval by the state board will result in the packet being returned immediately to Texas without review and the applicant will be denied from applying again for IPAP for a minimum of twelve (12) months.
